Friends of the Dragon Art Fair is a joint effort by several community groups to showcase DeForest and the "North Star of Dane County" as well as raise funds for arts scholarships by coordinating art-related events. Held on Market Street in downtown DeForest, Wisconsin, on Saturday, June 7th from 9am-4pm.

Join PointyKitty Studios in the Dealers room of the CONvergence science fiction and fantasy convention at the Sheraton Hotel South in Bloomington, Minnesota July 3-6th.
Celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year, the convention features an Art Show, multiple discussion panels, guests of honor, a Masquerade ball, free food and drink for attendees, and dozens of room parties.

2008-07-27 : Art Fair on the Green
Sponsored by the La Crosse Branch of the American Association of University Women, PointyKitty Studios will be joining professional fine artists from around the country July 26-27 in Lindner Woods on the UW-La Crosse campus to display a wide variety of media at the 50th Annual Art Fair on the Green.
Proceeds go to scholarships for students from area high schools, as well as for students currently attending La Crosse universities and the technical school. Past support has allowed AAUW to grant over a quarter million dollars in scholarships since the beginning of the fair in 1958.
2008-09-07 : Mt. Mary Starving Artist Show

Traditionally held the Sunday after Labor Day, PointyKitty Studios will be joining 200 other artists selling original, handmade artwork at the Mt. Mary College Alumnae Association's 30th Annual "Starving Artist" show. All work is available for $100 or less.
This year's show will be held Sunday, September 7th, from 10am-5pm on the West Campus of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

2008-05-09 : PK at UW Spring Art Fair
Join PointyKitty Studios Friday, May 9th on the University of Wisconsin's beautiful Library Mall, nestled in between the UW's Memorial Library, the Memorial Union, and the Wisconsin Historical Society buildings for a pre-mother's day art fair event. Hours for the fair are 10am - 5pm.
We'll be showcasing a lot of new work that was recently finished, and it's up to you to find the perfect one for that special mother in your life!

Come visit! PointyKitty Studios will once again be vending at the Dane County Farmer's Market on Saturdays from 8am-2pm from April 19th through the first weekend in November of this year. We'll be located at the intersection of State Street and Capitol Square.
While at the market, we'll be running a number of special sales, and have pieces available that you won't find for sale in our online store. So while you're perusing the fruits (and veggies and cheeses) of the other vendors' labors, stop by, say hello, and pick up a pretty shiny or two to take home with you!

On December 1st, the DeForest Area Chamber of Commerce coordinates a large number of individually run events held throughout the DeForest/Windsor area, comprising the overall area Winterfest Celebration.
The Winterfest Art Fair is a juried art show exhibiting artists’ hand-crafted works, showcasing the work of artists local to the Dane County Area. The show is held at the DeForest High School, and will run from 9am-3pm.

Ever wonder what goes on inside the studio of an artist? October 6th and 7th, PointyKitty Studios will be participating in Madison's Open Art Studios event.
Madison Area Open Art Studios is an annual event celebrating the diversity and vitality of the visual arts in the Madison-area. Over 150 artists open their studios to the public for the weekend. Visitors can look at art, talk with artists, and learn about technique and craft, all in an open-house, informal environment.
