Proceeds go to scholarships for students from area high schools, as well as for students currently attending La Crosse universities and the technical school. Past support has allowed AAUW to grant over a quarter million dollars in scholarships since the beginning of the fair in 1958.

I'll also be facilitating two presentations during the convention -- a Female Fan of Lego (FFOL) Roundtable Discussion, and a presentation on building with transparent bricks!

Brickworld is a four-day convention for Lego enthusiasts, and includes two weekend days of special seminars and presentations for the general public, as well as 20,000 square feet of fan-built Lego creations. Located on Michigan Avenue at Lake Street, this 150-artist downtown Chicago show sits just north of the internationally acclaimed Art Institute of Chicago and the world famous Millennium Park, well known for "The Bean" and interactive water sculptures.
